Are you a law firm? Is this legal advice?
No. We provide compliance advisory and implementation services — program design, screening, monitoring, and documentation. Where a question needs a legal opinion, we work alongside your counsel rather than replacing them.
Can you guarantee our regulator or banking partner will approve the program?
No one can, and you should be wary of anyone who promises it. What we deliver is a program built on recognised frameworks (BSA, FATF, EU AMLD) with the documentation and evidence trail that reviews are decided on.
Our banking partner "handles compliance" — do we still need this?
Usually yes. Partner banks push obligations down to the fintechs and MSBs they sponsor, and the diligence questionnaire asking for your program, your risk assessment, and your screening process is typically how you find out. Having them ready is dramatically cheaper than producing them under a deadline.
What systems and tools do you work with?
Deep experience with the SAS AML platform (implementation, configuration, and testing) and SQL-based scenario validation, plus commercial sanctions-screening providers. Because we are also an engineering shop, we can integrate screening into your onboarding flow or data pipeline directly.
What does an independent AML review cost?
Independent reviews start at $2,500 for a small MSB or fintech program, scoped in writing before any commitment. Full program builds are quoted after a gap review. We publish a starting price because most firms in this space will not — and budgeting the annual review should not require three discovery calls.
Do you only work with firms in the DC area?
No. We are based in Arlington, VA and work in person across Washington DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland — and remotely nationwide. Compliance work is largely remote by nature; the regional base matters for on-site workshops, examination preparation, and partner-bank meetings.
How does an engagement start?
With a short call — you will speak with Ksenia directly — about what triggered the requirement: a partner bank, a licence, a diligence request, and what you already have. From there we scope a gap review, an independent review, or a full program build, in writing, before any commitment.
