You are based in Arlington. How does that work for a DC office?
Crystal City is one Metro stop from downtown DC on the Blue and Yellow lines, so on-site is genuinely practical rather than a technicality. Most support is remote because that is faster, but when something needs hands — a network install, an office move, a new conference room — being across the bridge matters.
Do you work with nonprofits and associations?
Yes. DC has a high concentration of small nonprofits and membership organisations running on tight budgets with donor, member, or grant data that deserves better protection than it usually gets. We also help you claim the nonprofit licensing you are entitled to — many organisations are paying commercial rates for Microsoft 365 without realising there is a nonprofit tier.
Our office is ten people. Is that too small?
No — that is exactly the size we are built for. Below about five people we will usually recommend a one-time cleanup and occasional support instead of a monthly plan, because a retainer would cost you more than it returns. We will say so rather than sell you something.
What about staff who work from home most of the week?
Hybrid is the default assumption in DC now, and it changes what matters. The office network stops being the security perimeter; identity does. That means MFA on every account, managed and encrypted laptops wherever they sit, and access that can be revoked centrally the same day someone leaves.
We have data privacy obligations. Can you help?
We can improve the technical side — access controls, encryption, logging, retention, backups, and email security — and document what is in place. We do not act as your legal or compliance counsel, and where a framework requires an independent assessor we will say so plainly rather than imply that our technical work substitutes for it.
What does it cost?
We quote after a free Technology Risk Review, because a flat published rate would be wrong for almost everyone. Pricing follows headcount, devices, and what already exists. The review costs nothing and the written findings are yours whatever you decide.
